Tools Needed

Relax. We'll talk through this in plain words — no textbook voice.

You don't need a huge toolkit to build a PC. But a clean workspace and a good dose of patience really matter.

Must-Have

  • Phillips screwdriver
  • A clean table
  • Good lighting
  • Motherboard manual
  • USB drive for OS install

Nice to Have

  • Cable ties / Velcro ties
  • Thermal paste, if it doesn't come with the cooler
  • Small tray for screws
  • Flashlight
  • Anti-static wrist strap, if available

Safety Habit

  • Unplug the power cable
  • Don't build on a carpet
  • Hold parts by the edges
  • Keep liquids well away
  • If it doesn't fit, don't force it
You should see
Patience matters more than any tool. A PC build rarely needs force — most of the time what it needs is proper alignment.
