Cooling & Airflow

Relax. We'll talk through this in plain words — no textbook voice.

Cooling keeps your CPU/GPU temperatures in check so performance stays stable. Overheat, and your PC slows down, restarts unexpectedly, or wears out faster.

Airflow Basics

Airflow is the lifeblood of case cooling. As a general rule, pull cool air in from the front/bottom and push hot air out the rear/top — that layout works well for most builds.

Cool air in → Front/Bottom fans → CPU/GPU area → Rear/Top exhaust → Hot air out

Thermal Paste

  • Thermal paste helps heat transfer between the CPU and cooler.
  • You don't need to slather it on. A pea-sized dab is enough for most setups.
  • When mounting the cooler, tighten the screws evenly in a cross pattern. Don't crank down one side all the way first.

Common Overheating Causes: Forgetting to peel off the cooler's plastic film, wrong fan direction, too little or too much thermal paste, blocked case airflow, dust buildup.

Cooling isn't just about "keeping things cold." It's what keeps your PC stable, quiet, and long-lasting.
