Coins vs Tokens

Relax. We'll talk through this in plain words — no textbook voice.

Coin is typically the native asset of a blockchain — for example, BTC on the Bitcoin network, or ETH on the Ethereum network. Token is typically an asset issued through a smart contract or token standard on top of an existing blockchain.
